Key Biscayne Condo Map

Key Biscayne is a seven mile long barrier island located across Biscayne Bay from Coral Gables. A 15 minute drive from MIA, the Port of Miami and Miami Beach, Key Biscayne is not only a favorite vacation destination, but also a beautiful and safe place to live. The Village of Key Biscayne is flanked on the North by Crandon Park and on the South by Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, the latter ranking consistently among the countries top beaches, and housing the Cape florida Lighthouse, the oldest structure in Miami-Dade County. In 1947, the Rickenbacker Causeway was constructed linking the Southern tip of I-95 on the mainland to Virginia Key and Key Biscayne, allowing larger scale residential development to take place on the island. President Nixon maintained  a waterfront home there (including a helicopter pad) from 1969-1973, as well as many other celebrities and infamous characters. Today the island increasingly caters to an elite population of business moguls, high-income professionals, and a significant influx of Latin American tourists and part-time residents. The village has a quaint charm and is extremely family friendly with an abundance of leisure activities including golfing, tennis, swimming, sailing, snorkling, scuba-diving, biking, and rollerblading. There is a famous tennis center in Crandon Park which hosts the annual Sony Ericsson Open tennis tournament, and Virginia Key is home to the Miami Seaquarium. In recent years, several new luxury condominium projects have been nestled in to this seaside tropical paradise, including the Key Colony, the Grand Bay and The Towers of Key Biscayne.
